What we collect
When you create a Misora account we store your email address, the target IELTS band you set, and the writing submissions, vocabulary lists, study plans, and test attempts you generate while using the platform. We also store anonymous technical data (timestamps, error logs, request metadata) to keep the service running.
How AI processes your writing
To generate band estimates and bilingual feedback, your essay text is sent to Anthropic's Claude API as part of a scoring request. We do not allow Anthropic to use your submissions to train their models. The full essay is also stored in our database so you can review it from your results page.
What we do not do
- We do not sell your essays, audio, or personal data.
- We do not display ads or share data with advertisers.
- We do not give third parties access to your account contents.
- We do not claim our band estimates are official IELTS scores.
Where data is stored
Account data and submissions are stored in Supabase (PostgreSQL) hosted in the Asia-Pacific region. AI inference runs through Anthropic in the US. Email transactional messages go through Supabase Auth.
Your rights
You can request a copy of all data we hold about you, or request that we delete your account and all associated data, by going to Settings → Delete account inside the app, or by emailing privacy@misora.com.au. Deletion is irreversible.
